How to Build Bootable Media Paragon Backup & Recovery
In this article, I will explore how to Build Bootable Media Paragon. The program contains an easy-to-use wizard that will lead you through the method of creating a WinPE-based recovery media on a USB thumb drive or in an ISO file to later burn it to CD/DVD. For the advanced users, there are capabilities to add drivers for specific hardware devices, map network shares, and configure network settings in the process.
Build Bootable Media Paragon
Run Paragon Backup & Recovery and click on settings & tools.
Under Settings & Tools and then select Recovery Media Builder.
Paragon Recovery Media Builder doesn’t require Deployment Kit (ADK) and Windows Assessment to be installed in the system to create a WinPE-based environment, as it can directly use WIM image inside the operating system. Though, several system builders remove this image from preinstalled Windows OS.
If this is your case, Choose media creation mode (Use ADK). You will furthermore need it to create an ISO image of the WinPE environment.
If we installed ADK by its default location, the media builder wizard automatically detects it. Alternatively, we will need to browse for the needed folder. If we haven’t installed this toolkit yet, click Download ADK to get it directly from the Microsoft website. Please note that (ADK) is a Microsoft’s proprietor tool & can be obtained from the Microsoft download center for free, presented you have a genuine Windows installation. In addition, we want to download a version, the one is suitable for our Windows OS.
The wizard won’t continue until you install ADK.
Please use ADK 8.1 if we run RMB under Windows 7,/8/ 8.1, Server 2008 R2 / Server 2012 R1/R2.
Build Bootable Media, Select choose media destination (ISO file or Removable flash media), then select a USB drive of at least 512MB in size from the list of flash memory devices obtainable in the system at the moment If you need to create an ISO image of the WinPE environment, please use the corresponding option.
Select file location where you want to save the ISO image and then click next.
Recovery Media Builder network settings select mount network share (Mount a network share manually and then click next.
