1- On the Backup and Restore tab, right-click the server for which you want to restore data and click Restore.

7- under restore operation system feature select the features you want to choose and then click next.

8- What additional tasks do you want to perform before and/or after a store, under notification options you can manage recipients and then click next.

9- Type the folder name you are restoring and configure Schedule or Select Run now and then click Next.

10- Review Restore (files and folders) Summary and then click Finish.

11- Under Job Monitor, Now you can monitor the running job.

1- On the Backup and Restore tab > select the server you want to back up > Select Backup and Restore > Backup and select Back up to Disk.

2- Select Agent-based backup (Files & Folders) and click next.

3- under Backup definition properties, so click test/edit credentials.

4- Select the logon account > click Test All after success and then click OK.

5- Under backup definition properties click Edit > Expand the server and select files & folders you want to backup (I selected Documents and Downloads) and then click ok.

6- Under backup, so click Edit.

7- Under Backup options,> click Schedule, and then select when you want the backup job or jobs to run.

8- Click Storage, and then select the storage device that you want to use for the backup job or jobs.

9- Select this option to specify the network interface that Backup Exec users to access remote computers.

10- Each backup job and stage can be configured with different notification recipients. Backup Exec will notify people by email or text message.

In the left pane, select any additional options that apply to the backup job or jobs.

1- Select the Backup and Restore tab and then click Restore.

2- In the backup exec restore wizard select VMware data and click next.

3- On the Resource View tab > expand the virtual host server name or the virtual machine name > select the items that you want to restore and then click next.

4- Select To a different vCenter or ESX server (you can also select to the original location) and then click next.

5- Expand the vCenter server and select the datastore where you want to save VM machine and click ok.

6- Type the name of the vCenter Server or ESX/ESXi host that you want to restore to, or click Browse to search for the server.

Select the right logon account for the server that you simply want to revive the info to.

Click Browse next to the Virtual machine folder to select the folder to which you want to restore.

Click Browse next to the Resource pool to select the resource pool to which you want to restore.

7- Here you can select what additional options do you want to use and then click Next.

8- What additional tasks do you want to perform before and/or after a restore and then click Next.

9- If you want to type a name for the virtual machine types it in the Virtual machine name field. And configure schedule or select Run now and then click next.

10- Review the restore summary and click Finish.

11- In Job monitor option you can monitor the job.

12- After completed restore, you can see the virtual machine in vSphere client.

1- After adding the vCenter server we’d like to make a backup job. Select Backup and Restore Select Backup then select Backup to Disk.

2- Under vCenter Server properties, click Edit.

3- On the Backup Selections window select VMs which you want to backups and click ok.

In this article, I will provide instructions on how to add servers to Veritas Backup Exec 20.3 and higher Agent for Windows on a remote machine.

Add Servers in Backup Exec

1- On the Backup and Restore tab in the Servers and Virtual Hosts group – right click and select add Server.

2- Select Microsoft Windows computers and servers and then click next.

3- Select Allow Backup Exec to establish a trust with the servers and then click next.

4- Browse for any servers that you want to add.

5- Expand Servers and Select the servers you want to add for Backup and you want to install the Agent for Windows and then click OK.

6- In the Logon Account field select the login account that you want to use to access each server and then click Next.

7- Select Upgrade the Veritas Backup Exec Agent for Windows to the current version automatically and then click Next.

8- Review the summary and click Install.

9- Installing backup exec agent for windows.

10- Backup exec agent Installed Successful and click Finish. (Restart Required)

11- After you install the Agent for Windows the server is added to the list of servers in Backup Exec.
