In this article, we take a look to restore Windows 10 by running System Image Recovery tools using Windows system repair disk.
Microsoft included in Windows a system image utility that makes it simple to backup the entire computer, which we can then use to restore in case of operating system failure.
Note: a system image is an exact replica of the hard disk, down to the partition layout. It’s depending on how large our Windows 10 installation is, it will use a lot of space, so you can use an external USB hard disk with a lot of space.

System Image Recovery Windows 10
1- You can proceed to shutdown the computer, install your bootable media go to your computer bios and choose boot from the recovery drive or system repair disk.
2- The Windows logo will appear on the screen, choose your keyboard layout, and then hit enter.
3- Select Troubleshoot option
4- Select System Image Recovery option
5- At this point, you will be prompted to select the operating system that you need to restore. You select the Windows 10 tile to get start.
6- Windows cannot find a system image, Make sure the external hard drive where the system image is located is connected and turned on.
7- System Image will automatically select the latest system image if you want to restore another image. Choose the Select a system image box and then click the Next button and follow the on-screen instructions to choose an available system image. Click next
Windows System Image will format the hard disk and repartition your HDD, if you have any other partitions or other attached storage you would exclude, and do so then click Next.
8- Choose additional restore options, click on Advanced button.
9- Advanced options.
10- Select next.
11- Select the Finish button to begin
12- Warning before the restoration begins, select Yes to continue.
13- Please wait while the restoration takes place.
This may take some time.
14- Once completed, your PC will restart automatically or you can do so right away.
15- Successfully restored Windows image backup.
